HIDDEN TREASURE

Angeleena heard a beautiful story from her mother:

Once there lived a poor farmer  Ramdev and his wife Leeladevi.  They had two children - Ramu and Devi.  Though the children were bright , Ramdeve couldn't send them to school as he found to make both ends meet.  Leeladevi was sad as she couldn't give any delicious food to her children.  So she suggested her husband to go to the forest , collet twigs and sell it.  They decided to go together. Thus they reached the forest and collected twigs in their bullock cart.  On the way back home they saw a huge fish, which was caught in a net .  Ramdev felt pity and saved the fish from the net.  As a token of thanksgiving it gave him a box. They reached home and opened the box.  They were shocked to see the box full of gold.  They became rich and lived happily everafter.

REVIEW OF THE JOURNAL

'CHILD lANGUAGE ACQUISITION'  is an article written by Ms.J.Jeline Rani, in Classroom Journal ,
volume 12 published by RIESI.  According to JR Language Acquisition is a process that starts early in human life.  As to the universality, the cognitive aspect of communication in languae is understood as similar among primates, non-primates and human in some aspects and it differs in ohter aspects such as, influence of manner of speaker in advance language acquisition  and practical components etc.  The purpose of this paper is to examine the role of biology and enviroment in language acquisition and theoritical approaches.  This paper presents a brief overview of the subject of child language acquisition.  It also attempts and describes thoritical outline for the same, and it concludes with comments on the differing view of language acquisition.
The article is divided into sub topics like Biological Preconditions, Environmenta  Influences , Social Preconditions, Phonological Development , Semantic Development, Grammatical development , Pragmatic Development , Theoretical frameworks  of language development .

There are four major theories of language development.  The behaviourist theory, the nativist theory, the Empericist's theory and the Interactionist's perspective.

There is no longer any doubt among linguists and child psychologists that language acquisition is an elaborate and completely not a uniform type of study,  The social interactionists maintain that language is acquired from cues in the environment given by parents ,peers and other members of society.  She concludes by telling that Theoritically there is also ample basis for a well-defined sequential bias for semantic relations within early language acquisition.

The article is a very simple and informative one in the field of Child Language Acquisiton.
